So I just got home from traveling around Canada with VTI on one of their teams. I got married to the love of my life just after Christmas in 2007. We retured to team after the honeymoon. God is good! And it's great to see what God is doing around the world! We'll see what happens next.

Well, I got to finish Montana and the first Manitoban camp. Aaaaaahhh. Breaks are really nice. Yesterday we had a day off...and today we are going to our next destination of booming matropolis OAK LAKE, MB! We'll get to stop off in Brandon first though...:)

Wherever we go, there are always people asking me, is that Michelle your sister? In Montana, a kid actually asked if Brad was my brother! Ha ha ha...One BIG happy family...

Last week at camp was really great. The weather cleared up and the skies were blue!! But unfortunately, the fish flies were unnumberable (I like making up words sometimes if you haven't noticed yet!)!!!!!! Every morning, you'd see thousands upon thousands of dead fish flies on the ground by the doors, and try as you might not to step on them, the pile was too ominous to avoid the dreaded popping squishing sound emerging from underneath your footwear!!!

But we were reminded of a good lesson from these short lived creatures...

FISH FLIES live about 3 days max
FISH FLIES have no mouths or intestines and no bowels
FISH FLIES do not really have any purpose whatsoever

WE ARE LIKE FISH FLIES! WE CAN LIVE LIFE WITH NO PURPOSE! BUT WHEN WE HAVE JESUS IN OUR LIFE, HE AND HE ALONE GIVES US PURPOSE, A PLAN, AND A COURSE SET OUT BEFORE US!

Don't be like a fish fly...consider your eternity! Are you hopeful? or hopeless?

"Thereforee, sinse we have such a hope, we are very bold." 2 Corinthians 3:12
"Now faith is being sure of what we hop for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1
"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." Hebrews 10:23

I lurk around here sometimes, since the monk links to it. It's interesting to read about the adventures you're having as you travel around.

So..um... have a good summer, I guess!
